Then find out if the ball rolls as expected. Fostering unlimited creativity and experimentation, KEVA planks build an early understanding of proportion and balance, while teaching basic principles of physics and engineering. No glue, no connectors-just loads of constructive fun! Includes 400 identical wooden planks, 2 specially designed lightweight balls for maximum action and an 18-page idea book with project photos and quick-start instructions. My 8 yo son likes it a lot but I was very surprised to see that this is just 400 pieces of rectangular wood - no fittings. Putting this together relies on gravity soley so your child needs to be more on the patient side, personality-wise. Also, $90 for little pieces of wood - ugh.

My grandson's favorite Xmas gift. It was first on his list. He started building right after he opened it. Nothing else mattered.

My eight year old grandson constantly builds ramps and architectural designs every day. He enjoys himself without the television on. He creates and imagines for hours on his own.
