Awards

Dr. Toy 100 Best Children's Products Award

For nearly twenty-five years, Dr. Toy has been awarding children's products her seals of approval. These items have distinguished themselves over other products in quality and excellence, providing both lasting value and lasting learning. And, of course, providing lasting fun. The toys and products selected will meet your high standards for design, durability, quality, and price.

Family Fun Magazine Toy of the Year Award

For three weeks in June, more than 100 kids put about 500 T.O.Y. entries through the first round of testing, narrowing down the pack to the 63 that will move on to the next round. Those 63 toys are shipped to 15 early childhood care providers around the country, where another 1,200 kids spend more than 30,000 hours playing with and assessing the contestants. After three weeks, the kids vote for their favorites.

Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award

The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio was founded in 1989 as the only independent consumer review of children's media. The organization does not charge entry fees or accept ads from manufacturers. Award-winning products are selected by a noted expert in child development, children's literature, and education, and further tested by an objective panel of kid judges. Judging criteria include kid-testers' responses along with expert assessment of educational and play value, safety, age appropriateness and other factors.

Parents' Choice Gold Award

Founded in 1978, Parents' Choice is the nation's oldest nonprofit consumer guide to quality children's books, toys, music and more. The Parents' Choice Award seals are recognized throughout the country as the premier mark of achievement in the children's media industry. The Parents' Choice Gold Awards are given to those products that are judged as the highest quality and most appealing in their genre. Criteria for judgments include the highest production standards, universal human values and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others.
