this set is fun for kids, and they can play over and over again, the classic erector set is my favorite, i remember building the same things my sons are building.my sons are 14,12,12,8,5,and 1, they all tried it, but my 8 year old, and my 5 year old really liked it.

This set has extremely difficult projects to build; when it takes two college educated adults to help a 9 year old build one project through a weekend, it's not much fun for the child (or the adults).

the toy is great except for the on and off switch. it is too flimsy and breaks easily. This is upsetting for a child that just received this gift form santa
