Author: Maxine BrownRating: 4 out of 5 starsThe problems need adult supervision for those ten and under so the child gets the idea. Samples would help, as would much better explanation. I gave this to 4 children, ages 8 to ten, all fairly good at math. Using abacus-type drawings helped a lot. Most of the initial problems had the hardest set of numbers to guess first, so I tried to show them how to proceed by going to line, i.e. that asks for 1 or 2 sets of number first, then going back to the first line in the problem. Good for older children.
Author: W.Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA gift to my grandson; after the 'rush' of opening Christmas gifts, this was very welcome (by parents) and enjoyed (by GS) during quiet time. A great quiet time challenge for thinkers.
