This is a really fun game. My husband and I got it for our 9 yr. old grandson for Xmas and ALL of us have been playing it nonstop since he opened it. Great mental engagement - but easy to learn. Can see why it has won so many awards. Highly recommend!

We couldn't stop playing this game!! It's great because it's simple to learn but hard to master. Play it once and you've got the concept, play it 10 times and you'll just begin to understand the strategy. But your kids can play it and have a great time, too! It's kind of like Scrabble, without letters. I would recommend this game to ANYONE and EVERYONE.

My 8-year-old daughter and I both love it -- and we seem to be pretty much on equal ground with this one, which is not always the case when children and adults play. I'll also add that the game is aesthetically pleasing -- the tiles are a nice weight, they feel good to handle, and they're attractive too.

We have a large family and every time we visit one of children and take Qwirkle with us we have to leave it for the grandchildren. So far we have had to buy four. We currently have one of our own but someone is coming to visit so it probably won't last long.

This is a great game! We bought it for our sons 6th birthday. My son loves it and so do we. It is fun and I love how the board changes each time you play. Qwirkle requires you to think about patterns and analyze the board/look for the best play after each turn. Our son is always looking for a challenge and he loves this game. Highly recommended!

Bought this game as a Family Night game and it is FANTASTIC!! My 6 year old has as much fun as the grandparents. Rules are uncomplicated: place tiles following same color or same shape pattern in rows takes one minute to learn; requires both luck and a little strategy to play. This game is requested nightly!

What a wonderful visual thinking game! I just got it for my classroom from one of my gifted students, and right now, we are playing an introductory version I made up. We build rows of the same color or shape, but we don't cross them. Each person plays as many of his/her 6 tiles as possible on each turn and then replenishes the hand. You must have 2 of the same shape or color to begin a row. There is no limit on how many rows can be active at a time. Anyone can play on any row. When you finish a row (6 tiles), you declare QWIRKLE, and put those 6 tiles over to your side. When no more tiles can be played, the player with the most QWIRKLEs wins. This is a fun, fast-paced way to introduce the skills required for this game. I am sure my students will enjoy playing the full game also.

Product suggestion: make the tiles from the same domino like material the Banangram tiles are made from. The colors could be imbedded and painted like the letters and the tiles made slightly larger than the bananagram tiles so the tiles can sit on their edges. This would make the game more durable (our paint is already chipping and we have only been playing since Christmas) and more portable as it would be much smaller to carry any require less playing surface.

We love Qwirkle, it's a fun game for the whole family. My last purchase was a gift for some friends, since I think they will like it too. It's like Scrable but with colors and shapes. The only downside is that some of the colors are hard to tell apart. But overall great family fun!

First came across this game when our granddaughter received it for Christmas. We enjoyed it so much we ordered one for ourselves. It is a great game for seniors. One problem (I have seen it in other reviews also for this game) is it is hard to tell some of the colors from others. Red/Orange, Blue/Green etc. I found that if you tilt the tiles the colors are seen much better. I tried to place them on scrabble tile holders and it worked well although they were a little short. I made longer tile holders similar to the scrabble holders and it corrected the problem. You might consider including something like this in your game. Thanks

This has become one of our family's favorite games. We all play 3 generations and sometimes the youngest (6yrs) wins over the the adults. My only frustration is that the red and orange colors are so close that it takes very good light and comparison to keep them straight.

I gave Qwirle as a family game to my 3 children/ 6 grandchild. I have played with all the families and we have had a great time. The only draw back...my son in law is color blind, therefore cannot enjoy the fun with us. I would suggest that a letter be placed in the center of each tile to represent the color, ex. R=red, P=purple etc. I know that he would enjoy the game and we would enjoy having him join in the fun.
